Use the Lego Technic building system to create motorized cars, fishing rods, street sweepers, scales, and a working Grandfather clock as you learn about gear ratios, levers, pulleys, and more. Some models incorporate motors; all explore engineering principles. Work in small groups to build mechanisms and improve on your designs. Measure distance, time, speed, and weight. What do you need to consider when you want to climb a steep hill with a car vs drive fast on a flat surface? Improve your critical thinking skills.
