Kinderskills - Andover

A very special program uniquely designed for children entering Kindergarten in Fall, 2027

What is Kinderskills?

Back for its third summer! This enriching program has received wonderful feedback from parents who have seen their children grow in confidence, curiosity, and enthusiasm for kindergarten.

Look out, kindergarten, 'cause here I come! Build print awareness, sound awareness, letter recognition, sight words, and other pre-reading skills in a hands-on, interactive way through stories, songs, and grand conversations.

Get ready for "math talks" to enhance mathematical concepts and awareness of the language of math. Exciting number line activities, counting, skip counting, and patterning, along with games, songs, and math crafts, will provide meaningful opportunities to explore early math concepts. These are just a few of the many experiences that will help your child dash through the classroom doors feeling prepared, capable, and ready to learn!

When is Kinderskills?

Kinderskills is listed as a full-day course (Course Code: 122) during Session III this summer, July 26 - 30. Register in the general Andover Registration with the other Session III full-day offerings.

Instructors:
Colleen Dolan-Abraham and Cindy Girard

Parent Feedback:

"My daughter had only ever been in preschool for two and a half hours, three days a week, so I wasn't sure how she would handle a full week of learning. This program made such a difference! By the end of the week, she felt so much more confident and ready for kindergarten… and honestly, so did I."

“Kinderskills was the perfect introduction to Kindergarten. We would definitely recommend it to other families!"

In regards to the transition to Kindergarten: “He is adjusting well. I strongly believe Kinderskills helped (my son) as he began in the school system.”

“It was the perfect balance of great educators, fun games, and foundational skills!”

“Thank you so much for making this Kinderskills program such a fun and meaningful experience for our son. We truly appreciate your patience, kindness, and all the creative ways you helped him learn and grow. You've made a big difference, and we are so grateful. We would like to strongly recommend this program to others if you plan to run it again next year.”
